If your lady seeks her thrills off the water, there are numerous special events, restaurants and shopping areas to fill her days with adventure.
She can stroll along Eagle River's charming streets and find a wide variety of quality handmade crafts, quilts, rare antiques and more. From books to clothes to sweet confections, there is something for every style and taste. She can browse the fine galleries and delightful shops, or stop in for a fresh-squeezed lemonade or a hand-dipped ice 
cream cone at one of our specialty sweet shops where real homemade fudge can be found. On special occasions she can see real artisans at work.
The local movie theater is cool in the Summer and a good place to relax and watch a popular current movie. The local book store is on the same side of the street. Jabberwocky, located inside Bonson's mall, has a large collection of video rentals, magazines, books, newspapers... not to mention Terra Nicole's where she can dine on delicious gourmet sandwiches and quinch her thirst with one of their many selections of flavored coffees, teas or soft drinks.
Throughout the year Eagle River hosts numerous outdoor craft shows and a favorite, "Artarama", usually held at the Fair Grounds. In August the Vilas County Fair is a big hit with fisherman, their families and local residents alike.
And should she be a golfer... Eagle River has one of Wisconsin's most beautiful and challenging courses.
